‘F(o)ur Hands'
PANAMA CITY, FL - Gulf Coast Community College Art Division presents “F(o)ur Hands,” a ceramic exhibition at the Amelia G. Tapper main gallery from Sept. 11 until Oct. 2.
The opening reception is 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. An artist workshop will take place on campus in Room 128 (ATC), from 1-5 p.m. the same day. Both events are free and open to the public.
The art exhibit features functional ceramic works handcrafted by Cheyenne Chapman Rudolph and Nigel Rudolph.
Cheyenne and Nigel work from their home studio in Bradenton. Nigel is influenced by prehistoric ceramics and textiles. His work is thrown and uses atmospheric firing techniques to achieve rich surfaces. Cheyenne’s work is inspired by 18th and 19th century Victorian fashion and European silverware. She employs various hand-building techniques to construct her vessels out of porcelain. To get a sneak preview of the work, visit rudolphclaystudios.com.
