Panama City Pops

PANAMA CITY, FL - The Panama City Pops Orchestra has announced the concert dates for its 14th season.
     
The season opens under the direction of Maestro Eddie Rackley on Oct. 17 with “Anything Goes.” The program will feature a special arrangement by the Pops’ brass quintet.
   
For the second concert, the Pops will host the “Battle of the Batons,” a unique competition between prominent local personalities at the podium Jan. 16.
   
On March 13, a musical salute to our servicemen and women will be delivered during “To Our Heroes.”
   
On May 8, the Pops season finale, “Enchanting Escapades,” will feature the encore performance by solo pianist, Christine Mari Yoshikawa, who performed with the orchestra at the final concert of the 2008-2009 season.
   
All concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays at Arnold High School Auditorium, Alf Coleman Road, Panama City Beach.
   
Individual tickets are $25; $20 for Seniors and active military; and $10 for children.
   
Individual tickets for all concerts at Arnold High School may be purchased at Cher’s Hallmark, Lynn Haven and Panama City Beach, and Paul Brent Gallery, downtown Panama City.
