Camp Helen State Park

Camp Helen State Park is seated next to Lake Powell - one of the largest coastal dune lakes in Florida. Coastal dune lakes are extremely rare worldwide and are mostly only found along the Gulf of Mexico. The park has unique history that dates back more than 4,000 years and can be traced through the mounds and middens that were excavated in this park. With environments ranging from salt marshes to freshwater wetlands, park visitors can be found swimming, fishing, hiking and exploring.
