Bay County to celebrate opening of new dog park

Bay County invites all area dog owners/lovers to the grand opening of its new dog park at Zollie Young Park on Saturday, Oct. 25.

The celebration will feature a doggy Halloween costume contest, trick-or-treating for the children, pet microchipping, adoptable animals, booths with pet-related information and items for sale, and much more.

The grand opening ceremony and costume contest begin at 11 a.m., though the park will open at 10 a.m.

Directions to the park: Head north on U.S. 231 and turn left on Cato Road. Travel one block and turn left on 43rd Street. Follow the signs to Zollie Young Park.
