PANAMA CITY — Early Black Friday risers, or those who never went to sleep Thursday night, might need to stop in for a pick-me-up before continuing their shopping. Check out these coffee shops and seasonal specials in Bay County and the beaches to the west:

St. Andrews Coffee House, 1006 Beck Ave. in historic St. Andrews (769-3767) is open Tuesday through Saturday, with breakfast served 7-10:30 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and a full specialty drink menu all day. The coffee house closes at 2 p.m.

“We will be open Friday and Saturday for breakfast,” co-owner Ellen Mapelsden said. “We will have peppermint mochas and maybe some eggnog lattes.”

Laguna Beach Coffee Co., 22416 Panama City Beach Parkway (249-2777) will open today at its regular time, 7:30 a.m., but it has some seasonal flavors to entice you. “We have a ginger cream mocha and a pumpkin cream mocha that are very popular right now,” owner Marcy Dryslewski said.

If you’re braving Panama City Mall, 2240 Martin Luther King Blvd., stop by Coffee Beanery (872-8554) in the food court, and if you’re shopping the markets at Carillon Beach Resort, stop by Hava Java (236-8629) on Market Street.
